sipgate trunking

This guide connects the sipgate trunking service to Live Hub. If you use the sipgate basic service instead, see sipgate basic.

Complete the following steps:

Create a sipgate trunk and attach phone numbers to it

To create a sipgate trunk (Trunking-Vertrag) and attach the phone numbers to it:

Log in to the sipgate portal as a user with Admin privileges.
In the navigation panel, select Trunks.
Click the relevant entry, or click Product buchen, to order a new trunk.
Click + Rufnummer to assign the required number of phone numbers to this trunk.
1. In the 'Bezeichnung' field, enter a name for this trunk.
2. From the drop-down list, select a number as the 'Fallback-Absenderrufnummer'. This number is the default for outgoing calls from this trunk.
3. Note the 'SIP-ID' and 'SIP-Password'.

To create the SIP connection that represents your sipgate trunking account:

Log in to Live Hub.
In the Navigation pane, select SIP connections, and then click Add new SIP connection.
Select the General tab:
1. Under General:
  - In the 'Name' field, enter a unique SIP connection name (for example, sipgate).
  - From the 'Provider type' drop-down list, select SIP Trunk.
  - From the 'Provider' drop-down list, select sipgate SIP Trunk.
2. Under Registration and authentication:
  - From the 'Registration' drop-down list, select Enabled.
  - In the 'Contact name' field, enter the {sipId} shown on your sipgate trunk configuration screen.
  - Under Credentials, enter the {sipId} and {sipPassword} shown on your sipgate trunk configuration screen.
Select the Incoming tab:
1. Select the 'FQDN (Request-URI)' check box.
Select the Outgoing tab:
1. Under General:
  - In the 'SIP server hostname' field, enter sipconnect.sipgate.de.
2. Under Addresses:
  - Click Add to create a new entry.
    - In the 'ADDRESS' field, enter sipconnect.sipgate.de.
    - In the 'PORT' field, enter 5060.
    - In the 'PROTOCOL' field, select UDP.
Click Create.
